Advisory Services

We offer several services for anyone who wants to create or restore wildlife habitat or help wildlife in other ways.

Wildlife Helpline

If you want to help wildlife on your land, in your garden or community area, or have a question or concern about wildlife in your locality, try our telephone helpline (01570 493358) or contact us by e-mail. If we do not have an adviser on hand, we will respond to your query within 7 days. If we cannot help you directly, we will try to find other organisations, resources and services that can. If you can travel to Denmark Farm, we also offer a free consultation session by appointment.

For landowners in Ceredigion, our pilot project Ceredigion Biodiversity Enhancement Scheme, which ran over 2003-2005, has now been successfully completed. All information, knowledge and experience gained from this scheme is available and shared with other parties as appropriate.

Biodiversity's the Business

If you are a business, large or small, in the Teifi valley area, we have a new pilot scheme to help you introduce simple, low cost measures at your work premises. These will not only help wildlife but also enhance your image to customers as an environmentally aware, forward thinking business. This service includes an advisory visit to your work place and the chance to receive a wealth of ongoing advice, all for a small subscription fee. Contact us for more information.

We greatly appreciate assistance from the Countryside Council for Wales and the Trust's own supporters in funding of the above services.

Training Programme

Every year we run courses for conservation and countryside management professionals, landowners and other interested individuals from all over Wales and England. Our Training Centre is fully equipped for residential courses and offers very competitive rates. See our current Training programme.

Wildlife Articles

This Web site also features articles on Habitat Restoration. These are drawn from the long-term case study at Denmark Farm, especially our popular series of practical conservation guides.
